Balancing ministry, work, and life in the digital age can feel impossible. Let’s find a way forward together

Hey there! I’m Dave, and I help millennial Christian leaders like you lead with purpose, clarity, and confidence—without burning out.

If you’re a young pastor, ministry leader, or church staff member, you probably know what it’s like to feel stretched thin. Ministry is a calling, but let’s be real—it’s also demanding, exhausting, and sometimes overwhelming. You’re constantly pouring into others, but who’s pouring into you?

That’s where I come in. As a Strategic Living Coach, I create space for real conversations, personal growth, and practical strategies that help you thrive in your calling—not just survive it.

Why I Coach Millennial Christian Leaders

I get it—because I’ve been there. Ordained for over 40 years. Twenty-five years as the lead and founding pastor of a church in New York, starting from scratch and leading a thriving church community. I know the weight of sermon prep, leadership decisions, caring for people, and managing church growth, all while trying to maintain a healthy family and a personal, thriving faith.

The longer I served in ministry, the more I realized how many pastors and leaders—especially millennials stepping into church leadership—feel isolated and overwhelmed. Many are passionate about their calling but struggle with leadership development, work-life balance, and avoiding burnout. That’s why I became a coach—to help leaders like you build a strong foundation for sustainable, impactful ministry.

I earned a Mathematics and Secondary Education degree from Houghton College (yep, I’m a numbers guy) and later my Master of Divinity from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. Over the years, I’ve studied leadership, productivity, personal development, and motivation, always asking: How can pastors lead well and still live well?

I’m Certified As:

    • Associate Certified Coach (ACC) – International Coach Federation
    • Assemblies of God Level 3 Coach (AG3) – Assemblies of God Coaching Coalition
    • Certified Christian Coach (CCC) – Christian Coach Network International
    • Certified Professional Life Coach (CPLC) – Professional Christian Coaching Institute
    • Strengths Champion Certified Coach

Since 1999, I’ve worked with Christian leaders worldwide, from North America to the former Soviet Union, the Baltics, Africa, and India. I’ve worked with pastors, missionaries, and ministry leaders, served as an Adjunct Professor in the Baltics and Eastern Europe, and spoken at Global Leadership Training conferences.

A Little Personal Stuff

I’ve been married to my incredible wife, Julie, for over 48 years. We have four married kids, eight grandkids, and we live in the beautiful hills of Litchfield County, Connecticut. I love strong coffee, but I’ve learned the hard way not to drink it after 6:00 PM!

If you’re a millennial church leader looking for coaching, mentorship, or just someone to process ministry challenges with, let’s connect.

Leading a ministry is a big calling—but you don’t have to navigate it alone.

What You Can Expect

Authenticity

I believe that authentic connection with others is a key to lasting relationships and powerful coaching.

Openness

I love to travel and have had the privilege of meeting people from various cultures, beliefs, and backgrounds. I believe in being open to hearing, understanding, and accepting others no matter how different from me. I bring that openness to coaching.

Courage

To “put ourselves out there” and show up authentically takes courage. As your coach, I will bring my full self to the process. I will not be shy in asking the hard questions, but always with empathy and care for you.

Freedom

Life is a journey. It is a journey where we have the freedom to choose our path. Those choices have brought us to where we are today. Coaching will provide you with the tools to make more informed decisions as you move forward into your God-given destiny.

My Coaching Approach

I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all coaching. You don’t need more theory—you need practical, personalized strategies that actually work in ministry life. I focus on:

Growing as a Leader – Helping you develop confidence, communication skills, and a strategic mindset for church leadership and ministry growth.

Strengthening Your Spiritual & Personal Life – Leadership isn’t just about doing more—it’s about staying spiritually healthy, emotionally resilient, and personally fulfilled.

Avoiding Burnout & Ministry Fatigue – Learning how to set healthy boundaries, manage stress, and create sustainable rhythms for long-term impact.
